National Bank of Oman (NBO) and Information Technology Authority (ITA) have signed an agreement to utilize a custom banking solution that offers greater control over transactions and financial management.Through centralization and automation, the solution addresses specific challenges, such as high volumes of daily payments and multiple handoffs in manual processing.

Some Government eServices Suspended as Precautionary Measure ITA Continues to Combat Ransomware Attacks

The Information Technology Authority (ITA), in cooperation with the concerned government entities, continues to fight Ransomware attacks and “WannaCry” virus which is currently spreading around the world. ITA confirms that it did not yet receive any new reports on the infection of government entities with these attacks accept the report it announced earlier regarding the attacks that affected a small number of computers in one of the government entities.

ITA conducts survey on Public awareness on eGov services

As part of its vision to achieve e.oman strategy, the Information Technology Authority (ITA) is conducting a survey on “Measuring the Public Awareness on eGovernment Services” during the period from 20 to 22 April 2017. The survey targets people in some selected malls and shopping centers in Muscat Governorate only (Avenues Mall, Muscat Grand Mall, Muscat City Center, and Alsahwa Park); in addition to an online survey to be published through the ITA social media accounts.
