Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM 1 – Muscat Hall). Specialists in the field of Statistics in Government from concerned ministries are attending the workshop, under the patronage of Dr. Salim Al Ruzaiqi, CEO of ITA.

ITA Introduces National PC Initiative

The Information Technology Authority (ITA) held a meeting at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Muscat on 3 January 2010 to discuss ITA’s next key project, the National PC Initiative. It was attended by Dr. Salim bin Sultan Al Ruzaiqi, CEO of ITA, Deans of colleges and universities across the sultanate, in addition to staff from the Information Technology (IT) sectors.

ITA Signs Agreement to Renew Microsoft Licenses and Software

The Government of Oman represented by the Information Technology Authority (ITA) recently signed an agreement to renew its licensing and software with Microsoft for another three years. HE Mohammed bin Nasser Al Khasibi, Secretary General of the Ministry of National Economy and Chairman of the ITA Board signed the agreement on behalf of the Government of Oman.

GCC eGovernment Committee Holds 6th Meeting

The GCC eGovernment Committee held its sixth meeting of the Chairmen of the GCC eGovernment Authorities and programs at Al Bustan Palace Hotel in Muscat, where Mr. Abdul Latif Al Saree, Deputy Director General of the Central Agency for Information Technology (CaIT) in Kuwait, headed the meeting.

Winners Of 1st GCC eGovernment Award Announced

The winners of the inaugural GCC eGovernment Award have been announced. Winners in each of the five categories were announced at a special awards ceremony held at the conclusion of the 1st GCC eGovernment Conference and Exhibition hosted, for the first time ever, this year in the Sultanate of Oman.
