Believing in the importance of occasions which attempt to spread awareness and promote the e.oman Strategy and eGovernment, the Information Technology Authority (ITA) will again participate in the Salalah Tourism Festival 2012, which starts on 20 June and will continue through until 18 July 2012. The ITA’s participation at this year’s event will fall under the slogan “Innovation in ICT”, through which it aims to inform visitors about ITA's great efforts towards the implementation of the e.oman Strategy.

Through the displays in the ITA pavilion, the ITA will attempt to showcase some of the more important ITA projects and initiatives, such as Community Knowledge Centers (CKCs) and their crucial role in developing individuals' skills in the domain of computer basics, in addition to the National PC Initiative. As well, another corner within the ITA pavilion is dedicated to encouraging people to use government e-services in performing their daily transactions and activities.

ITA's participation will be accompanied by a number of interesting and useful activities for children, alongside competitions and prize draws. An electronic questionnaire will also be conducted in an effort to identify visitors' opinions about eGovernment services and to test the public’s knowledge with regard to cyber-crimes.
