His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Salim Al-Futaisi holds a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley and has a Master’s degree from Cornell University, USA. HE Dr. Al Futaisi worked in teaching and research for several years in the USA and Oman as well as being a member of several regional committees.

HE Dr. Al Futaisi was appointed as the Minister of Transport and Communications in March 2011 since then he has been actively involved in working to increase the economic value that transport and communication can bring to the Sultanate of Oman. HE Dr. Al Futaisi is also a board member in several government entities.

HE Eng. Ahmed Hassan Al Dheeb holds a Master of Industrial Development, from the United Kingdom. Prior to his work in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, he worked as CEO for the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates and he also worked as Manager for Rusayl Industrial Estate. Al Dheeb is a member of some councils and committes including:

His Excellency Said bin Hamdoon bin Saif Al Harthy is the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for Ports and Maritime Affairs, pursuant to Royal Decree 108/2007 dated 6 November 2007. HE chairs the Boards of Directors of the International Maritime College Oman, and National Ferries Company. HE is also a member of the Board of Directors of Sohar Industrial Port and the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm.

Throughout his military career serving as a member of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), he went steadily up the chain of command occupying several prestigious and prominent posts. He graduated from the British Royal Air Force Cranwell College, at the rank of second lieutenant, and also graduated as pilot from Masirah Airbase. He has participated in several courses including the Flight Instructors Course (RAF.UK), the Command and Staff Course (USA), and the Royal College of Defense Studies Course (RCDS).

His Excellency Dr. Hamed Salim Al Rawahi was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Telecommunication Regularity Authority (TRA) pursuant to Royal Decree No. 70/2011. HE has a Ph.D. and M.Phil. from Cranfield University, UK and a B.Sc. from the University of Salford, UK. He is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) and a Chartered IT Professional (CITP), both from the UK.

Eng. Matar bin Saif Al Ma'amri has been working in the field of information and communications technology (ICT) since 1989. He was a member of several government committees concerned in this field. He is a current member of the Board of Directors of the Oman Telecommunications Company “Omantel” and its’ Executive Committee. He received a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Lincoln, UK, in 2002. Prior to that, he received a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Widener University, USA, in 1988.

HE Tahir bin Salim bin Abdullah Al Amri is the Executive President of Central Bank of Oman, under the Royal Decree No. 44/2017, issued on Sep 5th, 2017. Prior to joining CBO, His Excellency was the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Oman Investment and Finance Company from May, 2015 to Sep, 2017. He also served as the Deputy Chairman of Qalhat LNG S.A.OC from Oct, 2004 to June, 2014.

H.E was a Member on the Board of Directors of a number of leading institutions in Oman, including Oman Investment Fund, Oman Power and Water Procurement Company, Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), National Bank of Oman (NBO), and Dhofar Insurance Company.

He is also a Board Member of Civil Service Employees Pension Fund, Oman Liquefied Natural Gas LLC (Oman LNG), Oman Shipping Company S.A.O.C. He  holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Salford University, UK.

As CEO of ITA since its inception in 2006, Dr. Salim is leading the implementation of the Digital Oman Strategy (e.oman). Throughout his 31-year career experience, Dr. Salim has held a number of different technical, diplomatic and leadership roles in the Sultanate of Oman.

Prior to ITA, Dr. Salim was leading the IT initiatives at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1987. During his service at the ministry, he joined the Sultanate's Diplomatic Corp as the First Secretary at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Washington DC, from 1998 to 2003.

Dr. Salim holds a Doctorate of Science degree in Information Systems and Communications from Robert Morris University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; a Master of Science in Information Systems Technology from George Washington University, in Washington DC, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.
