The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and information Technology has finalized the logistics efficiency national indicators initiative (Tamayuz). It is one of the promising initiatives that the ministry will implement to induct the logistics business environment's variations in The Sultanate into a global commercial milestone. It will also aim to enable the logistics industry to employ government entities' trade facilitation tools.
(Tamayuz) initiative will uplift the commercial and economic competitiveness capabilities for all the components of logistics activities in Oman. Additionally, it will enhance the timeframe and efficiency of submitting customs data in all customs check posts and goods clearance. Henceforth, this will bolster the Sultanate's position as a global logistics services hub and form a competition-friendly environment between stakeholders in the industry.
(Tamayuz) Initiative will see several parties' participation from the logistic family such as shipping lines, air freight lines, their agents(forwarders), handling companies in shipping facilities, and customs clearance companies. Many workshops will be held with the concerned parties to introduce the system and performance indicators before implementing it.
