The Information Technology Authority (ITA) recently celebrated the graduation of two batches trained in on job attachment program in cooperation with Gulf Business Machines Company (GBM) and CrimsonLogic Inc. The graduation ceremony was held at Sas Center for Mobile Apps Development at ITA premises in KOM; and attended by Omar Salim Al Shanfary, Deputy CEO for Operations, and representatives from the two companies.
The celebration started with the graduation of the second batch GBM training program; in which 6 Omanis have received an on the job training for a full year at the company's headquarters in the Sultanate. The program covered a wide range of topics including:
- IBM Technology
- Cisco Technology
- Cloud computing
- Soft skills
Then the first batch (6 Omanis) of specialized training in cooperation with Crimson Logic Company was honored for the completion of one-year training. They were trained at CrimsonLogic Headquarters in Singapore for six months and another six months at the company’s office in Oman and the training topics covered the following:
- Domain knowledge in harnessing IT to facilitate government eServices
- Software development and testing
- Business process analysis and personal development and leadership skills
It is noteworthy that on the job training program is carried out by the ITA in collaboration with leading ICT companies aiming to provide Omani youth with the best training opportunities in various ICT fields.
