Overview
Practical Training and Projects Attachment is part of the Specialized IT Training (SITT) to provide Omani’s in the IT field with the opportunities to gain high level work experience with international IT cooperates and expose them to different types of projects and work environments to further develop their competencies and/or make them potential startups in the field.
It is also to assist in providing the necessary skills and experience to support the ICT industry development and MTC’s various initiatives to achieve e.oman strategy objectives.
1- ICT Women Training Program
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology is executing ICT Women Training Program in collaboration with public and private organizations.
The program aims to enhance women's participation in ICT sector and to develop women's capacities in the sector.
The ICT women's training program includes:
- ICT Women Summit.
- ICT specialized Training.
2- ICT Women Summit
ICT Women Summit aims to attract passionate women in the field of communications and information technology to exchange knowledge and experiences in leading small and medium enterprises during global pandemics and crises.
The Summit program comprises the following:
1. Panel discussion entitled “Encouraging Omani Women for Entrepreneurship in ICT".

3- Training and Development
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in cooperation with Huawei, Oman LNG, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Social Affairs, and Pivot Training Service is implementing a specialized training program for participants in the field of communications and information technology, where the opportunity is provided to develop knowledge, enhance abilities and skills to obtain specialized certificates, with the aim of increasing the number of women with specialized certificates and gaining a competitive advantage in this sector.
