In the aim of enhancing the outcomes of the National Cybersecurity Industry Program ( Hadatha ), the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology launches the Hadatha Award for Cybersecurity

As part of its efforts to enhance the digital economy and encourage innovation and excellence in cybersecurity, the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, represented by Oman National CERT , has launched the "Hadatha Cybersecurity Award". This award targets local talents, innovators, as well as governmental and private initiatives and institutions in the Sultanate of Oman by evaluating performance and appreciating the achievements in the field of cybersecurity. 

 

The award aims to achieve the objectives of the National Cybersecurity Industry Program (Hadatha) and celebrate local achievements and contributions in cybersecurity. It also seeks to highlight the achievements of innovators, institutions, and cybersecurity initiatives in the Sultanate of Oman and contribute to raising the Sultanate’s global indicators in the fields of innovation and cybersecurity.

 

The award also aims to engage relevant entities and the community in celebrating local capabilities in this field, as well as to encourage the development of a comprehensive cybersecurity ecosystem that includes experts, specialists, and relevant entities by linking efforts and showcasing success stories.

 

The award comprises three main categories:

1. Individuals: Awarded to initiatives with economic and social impact, such as cybersecurity awareness, academic research, specialized papers, and freelance initiatives in the field of cybersecurity.

2. Institutions: Awarded to institutions that have enhanced their cybersecurity readiness, as well as those that have activated their social responsibility in serving one of the pillars of the Cybersecurity Industry Program.

3. Startups and SMEs: Awarded to small and medium-sized enterprises that play a role in the cybersecurity industry through projects that have an economic return for the Sultanate of Oman.

 

It is noteworthy that the "Hadatha Cybersecurity Award" is a National initiative aimed at honoring achievements in the cybersecurity industry in the Sultanate of Oman

 

The award comes as an extension of the Cybersecurity Industry Program (Hadatha), one of the executive programs within the National Program for the Digital Economy
