IT KIDs Innovation Theatre (IT KIT)
The Information Technology Authority, in collaboration with companies and government agencies, launches an initiative for kids during the summer vacation, aimed at enhancing their abilities and developing their skills in the fields of information technology.
Program Objectives

Expand and enhance kid’s knowledge and involvement in one of the information technology areas to empower them to be future resources.

Encourage kids to utilize their IT knowledge, ideas and imagination to produce real services and products.

Enable kids to be future IT entrepreneurs
Program
Content
The program focuses on three main areas in IT, which are Programming, Robotics and innovation.
The program includes various activities such as workshops, project planning and development, projects display and soft skills enhancement.
Program Location
Muscat: Middle East College ,KOM Muscat.
Salalah: Robot Center (Ministry of Education).
Sur : Robot Center (Ministry of Education) .
Alkamil Wal Wafi : From 29/07/2018 to 9/08/2018 (excluding weekends and holidays).

Selection Criteria
1- The applicant should be an Omani student.
2- The age should be between 9 to 12 years.
3- Applicant should be familiar with the computer basics.
4- Applicant should be committed to complete the program.
Selection Process

Should record a video (30-60 sec) talking about him/her self and why he/her participates in the program.

Applicants should fill the online registration form.

Candidates will be interviewed by a panel of experts.

Confirmation will be send to the selected candidates via email or SMS.

Commitment to attend the program should be signed by the parents/guardians of the selected students and the students themselves.
Notes

The kids who have already participated in the program will not be accepted.

Kindly be informed that transportation and accommodation will not be provided.

The students are obliged to complete the whole duration of the summer program to be eligible for the certificates and other benefits.

In Salalah the age should be:
- Between 8 to 10 years for level 1.
- Between 11 to 13 for level 2.
